This Privacy Policy explains how StayWithMe ("StayWithMe", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the StayWithMe Android app and related services.

1. Important Safety Notice

StayWithMe provides AI companion chat and reminder features. It is not a medical device, mental health treatment provider, therapy service, crisis hotline, or emergency response service. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person immediately.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

• Account information, such as Firebase anonymous user ID, Google login email, display name, and profile photo.
• App profile information, such as companion name, preferences, subscription tier, reminder settings, and app settings.
• Companion chat content that you send and AI responses generated for you.
• Usage information, such as app opens, chat send events, subscription events, rewarded ad events, and feature interactions.
• Device and diagnostic information, such as crash logs, performance data, device type, operating system, app version, and error reports.
• Subscription information handled through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, such as product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase state, and renewal status.
• Guardian contact information if you choose to enable that feature, such as contact name, email address, relationship, and alert preferences.
• Voice and speech input data when you use voice features. Speech may be processed by device or third-party speech services depending on platform behavior.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide companion AI chat and personalize responses.
• Maintain your account, settings, reminders, subscription status, and daily message access.
• Process subscription access through RevenueCat and Google Play Billing.
• Show rewarded ads and apply rewards when eligible.
• Send guardian email alerts if you explicitly enable the guardian contact feature.
• Improve app stability, fix crashes, measure usage, and protect against abuse.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

4. Third-Party Services

StayWithMe uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Auth for anonymous login and Google login.
• Cloud Firestore for storing user profile, settings, guardian preferences, and app data.
• Firebase Analytics for app usage analytics.
• Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports and diagnostics.
• Firebase Functions for server-side processing, including guardian alert checks.
• RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.
• Google Play Billing for Android subscription purchases.
• Google Mobile Ads for rewarded advertising.
• Resend for guardian contact email delivery.
• OpenAI and DeepSeek APIs for AI companion chat responses.
• Text-to-speech and speech input providers for voice features, including platform services and configured voice providers.

5. AI Chat Data

Chat messages may be sent to AI providers such as OpenAI or DeepSeek to generate responses. Do not share highly sensitive information, medical emergencies, passwords, financial credentials, or information you do not want processed by AI services.

6. Guardian Contact Alerts

Guardian contact alerts are optional and require your active setup. If enabled, StayWithMe may email your chosen guardian contact when you have not checked in for the selected period. These emails do not include chat messages, location, or detailed private content.

7. Analytics, Ads, and Crash Reports

We use analytics and crash reporting to understand app reliability and improve the product. Rewarded ads may be shown only after user action. Ad providers may process device and advertising-related data according to their own policies.

8. Data Retention

We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and support account deletion requests. You may request deletion at any time.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete your account in the app through Settings - Delete Account, or contact us at staywithmesupport@gmail.com. Deletion includes your Firebase Auth account, Firestore user profile, guardian contact information, and chat history where technically available and legally permitted.

10. Children

StayWithMe is not intended for children under the age required by local law to use online services without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own by us and our service providers. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide notice in the app or on our website.
