Delete Account and Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your StayWithMe account and related app data.
Delete Your Account in the App
- Open the StayWithMe app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, email us at staywithmesupport@gmail.com with the subject line "StayWithMe Account Deletion Request".
To help us locate your account, include the email address used for Google login if applicable. Do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive chat content.
What We Delete
When deletion is completed, we delete or anonymize data associated with your account where technically available and legally permitted, including:
- Your Firebase Auth account.
- Your Firestore user profile and app settings.
- Your companion preferences.
- Your guardian contact name, email, relationship, and alert settings.
- Your chat history stored by StayWithMe.
- Locally stored app data where deletion is initiated from the app and supported by the device.
What May Not Be Deleted Immediately
Some records may remain for a limited time where required for legal, fraud prevention, security, billing, tax, backup, crash diagnostics, or app store compliance purposes. Subscription purchase history is handled by Google Play and RevenueCat and may remain in their systems according to their policies.
Subscriptions
Deleting your StayWithMe account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. To stop future billing, cancel your subscription in Google Play:
- Open Google Play.
- Go to Payments and subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select StayWithMe and cancel the subscription.
Processing Time
In-app deletion begins immediately when available. Email deletion requests are normally reviewed within a reasonable period. We may need to verify account ownership before deleting data.
